Illustrated Nunavut Youth Futures
A vision of a vibrant and thriving Nunavut for every young person
The Communities Building Youth Future initiative has a vision of a vibrant and thriving Nunavut where every young person is equipped with the skills to confidently embrace adulthood – and here’s a bilingual visual of that vision.
The vision for the Communities Building Youth Futures in Nunavut is where every young person, regardless of their background or circumstance is equipped with the skills to confidently embrace adulthood. Drawing Change supported the Nunavut Association of Municipalities and Tamarack Institute to illustrate their Collective Impact model and make a youth-friendly version. The strategic plan is illustrated on one page: a picture is a thousand words!
Illustration means youth see their ideas matter
The Communities Building Youth Futures in Nunavut listened to youth, and heard about youth priorities to address basic needs, focus on health and wellness, and look to the present and future. The initiatives wants to:
- foster growth, resilience, and inclusivity so the next generation of Nunavut youth can confidently navigate the critical transitions from youth to adulthood
- support Nunavut youth with tools, skills and resources to actively participate in their communities
- develop innovative strategies for Nunavut youth
Reach as many youth as possible: multiple languages
We knew that we wanted to reach as many youth as possible in Nunavut, so we did two things: we transformed the strategy into a one-page illustration to make it easy to share and understand – and we also created it in English and Inuktitut.
Choose the best illustration process for your project
We offer live graphic recording, and also strategic illustrations like this. Illustrations are the best process when you need to refine, edit, and revise the illustrations with us to get things just right. When you have reports, documents, and strategic plans – illustrations and revisions are the best way to bring your vision to life.
Drawing Change specializes in illustrating knowledge translation/mobilization especially in health, and transforming complex ideas into easy to understand models and pictures.
