First Nations Fisheries Council

Charting a Course Forward

Since time immemorial, First Nations have protected and relied on fish and oceans. Today, the fisheries landscape in BC is a complex environment involving management, policy and legislation. BC First Nations direct the non-profit First Nations Fisheries Council to help support and protect their rights, and Drawing Change was there to assist with a checkup on the 3-year strategic plan.

Strategic planning for a united voice.

Strategic planning should never be boring or make-work. Planning is an opportunity to pause on the journey, and share a vision. Sam from Drawing Change has facilitated multi-day retreats so FNFC leadership and staff can discuss policy issues, build relationships to advance those priorities, and assess potential strategic opportunities. A strong FNFC means a united voice to assert rights.

Strategic planning built on trust.

In complex and ever changing environments, organizations need to be dynamic – while keeping a strong foundation of trust. For this project, Drawing Change has supported FNFC for multiple years and built a strong relationship together.

We want strong relationships with all our clients, too. Let our 20+ years of facilitation experience working with health organizations, non-profits, groups working for social change help your group see the path forward, and take clear action together.
