I attended my first Freelance Camp this past Saturday. It’s an unconference – people register, then pitch to the room what skills they want to share that day. Speakers are assigned a time slot and then we break up into sessions. Proceeds went to various charities through Kiva.org so it was a win all around. I took notes for the morning sessions using sketchnotes and shared them afterwards on Twitter.
It was held at the Network Hub in New Westminster, a work-sharing space (I should add, located above a market with lots of delicious things to eat).
