Centering the Tangent: photos

Here are some photos from a linocut printing workshop at the Centering the Tangent conference. There were about 20 participants. We started off with a practice exercise that makes a deliberately imperfect result, to help put aside the hangups we often carry with us about making “good” art or making something perfect the first time. After sharing, and laughing together, we started designing and planning our linocut prints.

The linocut art-making was a wonderful opportunity to work beside community members who contribute in such powerful ways to building a resilient, connected, and more just world.linocut workshop community skill building vancouver youthlinocut workshop community skill building vancouver youthlinocut workshop community skill building vancouver youthlinocut workshop community skill building vancouver youthlinocut workshop community skill building vancouver youth

Interested in learning more? I made a handout about how-to do linocut printing here. Thank you again to the organizers for an amazing experience.
